Light clear golden pour with thin white head. Malty aroma with grain, taste is sweet with malt and maybe a hint of corn. Crisp finish, lots of carbonation and very refreshing. Takes me back in time (I grew up in Rochester, so maybe I’m a little biased) and was shocked to find it recently in Portland. Perfect beer for a hot summer day spending time out in the yard.

Pours a pale gold with a fizzy white head. Sweet malt and grain aroma and flavor. Thin palate. Not worth the effort.

Can poured into a glass. Decent enough head retention. Flavor is light in malt with a decent light sweet grain taste. I like this stuff.

this is the beer I grew up on in high school drinking this brought back those days live on class of 85. This nicely priced beer pours a light gold with a small white head. Though it is very corny in taste it is fairly drinkable and better than a lot of other cheap beers
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 shalloWMeans (160) - Independence, Kentucky, USA - MAR 26, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2008 A neary forgotten classic (unless you live in Rochester or Philadelphia) that enjoyed it’s heyday in the late 70’s earlly 80’s. I was surprised when I found this, be it only in 12pk cans. To put it simply, this isn’t a great beer. But I still enjoy a cold "Genny Cream" from time to time. It’s sparkling body is bright gold and appetizing, (setting it apart from other macro-brewed counterparts at the get-go) and is full of crisp lively carbonation. As a matter of fact, this stuff has about as much caronation as a glass of soda. Yet it somehow manages to still come off creamy, (hence the name) smooth, and crisp. The aroma isn’t much better than a Budweiser but has a little bit of an "ale" fruitiness. The flavors are somewhat enjoyable with barley malt freshness and.... well, thats all. Overall, I think the only reason to drink this is to relive the 80’s. I would say save your money, but it’s really cheap anyway, so go ahead and buy it. Couldn’t hurt.

Bottle. Dark golden color - clear. No aroma. Bland. Very little flavor. Clean tasting, but that’s about it.

12oz can. 3.29 a six-pack. Transparent yellow color with a nice foamy head. Unpleasant macro adjuncty aroma. Relatively mellow, creamy mouthfeel. A great beer for the price, and even worth a sample..but nothing special.
