Smell that swill aroma, but this time with a little bit more of a distinct corn aroma. really light in color with a moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor is very grainy with corn and is sweetish. palate is very thin.

A Musky scent of corn and malt erupest from the twist off bottle. Pours a medium dark golden. Has swirly helix like carbonation. This may be my new session beer. The start to finish of this critter is so fast you have to take repeated swigs of it to attempt to figure it out. A full mouthfeel but a wham bam thank you ma;amon the body and finish. Hops? What are those? I dare the administators to make this the quote of the week.

great side by side with lakefronts organic esb (largely due to the fact that they are both equally abhorrent)...i dont want to write anything for this beer because i am too dissapointed by the lingering taste in my mouth..ill rinse it out with the last ounce of lakefront i left in that bottle..

My choice when it comes to cheap macros. Genny Cream is not too aesthetically appealing but the well-balanced taste more than makes up for it. As someone else said, this is "the best of the worst".

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2007 Yeasty, metallic smell with a touch of malt perhaps, after a light golden pour with short to medium lived white head. Taste is very smooth, yet suitably carbonated and has a sweetish grainish corn or wheaty hearty flavor to it. Just a touch of bitterness, and enough to balance out the mild flavors. Tastes similar to a couple Kolsches I’ve had, such as Shiner Kolsch and Lawnmower. Aftertaste was there and was pleasant. This isn’t going to be a fancy beer needing an acquired taste, but I thought it was very drinkable and enjoyable, especially after the 2 other beers I rated tonight which were debacles, and undrinkable.

I drank this after a hunt for the worst beers people have never heard of, we came across Genesee, Schaefer, and Strohs, out of the 3 this was the best by far... has some taste, more than i can say for any other i tried.

Genny Cream Ale is a sparkling, light golden ale with great clarity. It has a small, fragile white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma carries a muted fruitiness. On the tounge, it’s medium-light and slightly gritty. It has more substance than a typical macro. The flavor is very slight. There is the hint of something metallic or paper. (Heck, it’s from a can.) The flavor is balanced and seems to have a good blend of fruity hops and fruity esters. A step up from your typical macro. Very pilsner-like.
