1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2005 Can (12oz). Oooh - *strong* beer. Poured a clear straw-gold with a large rocky white head. Hel-lo sour corn mash. Hel-lo vegetable garden compost heap. Also damp grains, stale hops, some alcohol, metal and sweaty gym socks. Tasted mildly of dry straw, a hint of peaches, and artificial sweetener. No linger, no aftertaste at all. Mouthfeel is light and salty, thereís a hint of alcohol on the finish. Pass.

Actually this is not THAT bad. Has a bit more color and body than standard Genny slop. Though I donít think this is available anymore.

Not bad for an "ice" beer. Its a pale yellow color with a large head. It actually has a malt backbone to it. A bit on the sweet side and that alcohol is making itself known. Acceptable swill if nothing else.

Ah, now this is a workin mans beer. Drank a hell of a portion of a 30 pack of this shit while building an addition last weekend. Very water to quench my thirst, and had just the right amount of alcohol to counter the cold weather. Smelled much like pbr ice. I say it again, this is one solid workin mans beer.

355ml can. Golden, white foamy head, lots of carbonation. Corn/vegetable nose. Sweet corny taste battles club soda and alcohol.

Can. Pee yellow body with a big white head. Funky macro aroma with a bit of malt in there. Flavour is fairly inoffensive but nothing to brag about. Long lingering chemical, slightly metallic aftertaste. Light palate, kind of flat. LCBO singles bin.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
salty, malt aroma that isnít impressive but isnít offensive. Pours a very nice golden brown, nice head with quality lacing. Cornish flavouring. Malt liquor-ish. Alcohol is suprisingly well hidden, although Iím drinking it rather cold. This isnít winning any awards but Iíve had a hell of a lot worse.

Passable for the price. Has a bit more punch to it than regular whiz like red dog, etc... Canít really say it stood out much from the regular whiz beers. (Which at 12:99 per 30 can case at the local super-duper liquor store aint too bad) All in all, it was better than I expected. Itís beer (Drink it REAL cold though,eh?) AND. The can looks totally different than the one this site currently has on display. Thereís no bear on it and the can just says Genesee Ice Beer. I checked, it is a highfalls brewing product
