When youíre looking for a rich, full-flavored beer, Genesee Ice is the perfect beer for you. Our brewmasters begin with only the purest natural ingredients. Then, ice crystals form in the beer during its aging process before itís filtered for the rich flavor Genesee Ice is known for.

24 oz can labeled Genesee Ice (with no polar bear) pours a clear golden amber color with a quickly vanishing white head and little lacing. Smells grainy. Aroma is not as offensive as I feared, but not memorable either (mostly grassy hops and grain husks). Body is light to medium, without too much carbonation. Taste is sweet with a clean finish. Not nearly as bad as I expected for a 99 cent 24 oz. can.

What the fuck? This beer is called "Genesee Ice", not "Genny"... but anyway. Poured a spritzed quickly-dispensing corn-yellow into German boot glass. Smells and tastes predominately of corn husks, alcohol, noble hops and tin. Not perfect but for a little over .99, this does the trick and then some.

I drank this at a tailgate out of politeness toward the host. Thatís how polite I am. The taste was like rusty water, as was the color. The only thing this has going for it is a slightly larger ABV than normal piss.

473ml can pours a pale golden color with a small white head that leaves no lacing on the glass. Aroma is light grains and grassy hops. Taste is like the aroma. Light to medium body with modest carbonation. Just another typical macro lager swill. Not enjoyable.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 14/20
ronaldtheriot (1707) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Genesee Ice has a medium-to-thick, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, deep golden appearance, and a lot of lacing left behind. The aroma is of faint, semi-sweet grain husks, and the flavor is of sweet malt and grain (corn, most likely), and biscuit, with a shade of hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is light to medium, and Genesee Ice finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, mostly dry, and very drinkable. This beer had a lot of body, and is remarkably smooth. I think itís very good. 24oz can, classy, listed as 5.5%. Wattery, clear yellow with foamy white head. Typical, Sour grass, tinny. Doesnít taste so bad but it is in the sweet spot of funky, heavy cheap american lager. flavorful but wish it wasnít. Could be worse?

FROTHINGSLOSH (6372) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2012
Sampled from a 24 oz can this beer poured a golden-amber color with an enormous fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy corn with an undertone of cooked cabbage. The flavor was sweet and tangy corn and artificial sugar. Medium length tangy and corny finish. Light to medium body. Not good.

Pour from a 24 oz can. Medium amber brew iwth sudsy off white head. Aroma of corn with vegtal overtones. Taste follows aroma - sweet corn / grain with a sweet vegetal skanky finish. Sweet all around, and not in a good way.

Bricks (917) - Delaware, USA - MAY 19, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 20, 2012 99c for a 24oz. Yellow rich swilly appearance. Aroma is like peanut shells, fingernail polish remover and urine. Rough bitter palate. Tastes like the machinery it was processed within, or the nether regions of a robotic skunk. Part of me thinks that this is the first batch of beer they make after cleaning everything.. thus resulting in mega unintended adjunct. Not recommended in the slightest.

5/3/12. "Ice" beer thatís only 5.5%? Well, here we go. 24oz can... why did I buy this? Plain creamy corn aroma with touches of grain. Unoffensive but plain flavor with some corn, sweet apples, and more cream. Goes down pretty decent for an ice beer, but then again, itís pretty low ABV, so itís more of a pale lager, like the style says above. Meh.
