Screw top. Champagne yeast and a winery in the helm; not expecting much!
An unwooded Chardonnay in appearance; restrained, translucent, low carbonation almost still. Lightly mousy, floral, fragrant nose with a peachy edge. Rounded, sweet, juicy and controlled with a dry and tight finish. Nuances are not exactly grinning yet are there and worth the search. Tangy palate, dry crisp finish. Low acids and chalky. Long evident; plenty of length. Soft rind, white cheese, salty cracker. Not too bad all in all. A mystery of a cider so grab one whilst it is about. Above average!
