When you’re looking for a rich, full-flavored beer, Genesee Ice is the perfect beer for you. Our brewmasters begin with only the purest natural ingredients. Then, ice crystals form in the beer during its aging process before it’s filtered for the rich flavor Genesee Ice is known for.

Not much aroma. The head is very untasty. The beer pretty much tastes like a super cheap light beer but at least there’s no heavy funk in the aroma.

Very drinkable for an Iced Beer. The smell precedes the actual taste of the beer and leads to a bit of disappoint. Although - it is very drinkable, but really doesn’t distinguish itself from other Iced beers.

I will agree with a previous review, yest this isnt as good as Cream Ale, but it is still decent. Good for a cheap beer.

Pours a dark clear golden with about 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Aroma is cornmeal. Taste is very much the same with some dry malts and no trace of hops. For the price, this is an okay beer, if not as good as the cream ale. Pretty generic ice beer.

24 oz. can on sale for $0.89 at Harris Teeter. Figured this one might be good for a laugh. Yes, this is horrendous. If you were expecting something even halfway quaffable, you’re in the wrong place. This tastes just like every other horrible malt liquor/high gravity lager you’ll ever have. I’m actually surprised to see this rated so highly here. In my mind, this almost has to be one of the 20 or so worst widely available beers on the planet (not including malt liquors, though this might just about qualify as one).

24 oz can out of a paper bag, enjoyed in my hotel room outside the ever cosmopolitian Seneca Falls. The can is shiny with a black head billowing out of the liqour store special brown paper bag. Nose is full of creamed corn aroma. Taste follows the creamed corn lineage with the additions of alchohol and metal. Bitterness balances. Body is a bit thin, but not watery. Not as aweful as expected.

24 oz can to pint. Looks decent; a transparent copper with white head. Smells skunky. Tastes like it smells with a sub-par mouthful. Bad, but could be worse.

24 ounce can, labeled as Genesee Ice. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear dark gold color with about a half inch off-white head. There’s a small amount of lacing. Not much to the aroma, it just smells like sweet/grainy malt. Taste is the same as the aroma, it’s all sweet/grainy malt. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s smooth and easy enough to drink with moderate carbonation. There’s even a slight slickness to the mouthfeel. This isn’t too bad at all, there aren’t any offensive flavors or aromas. Actually, I was expecting a lot worse so this brew was a nice surprise. For $1.09 a can you could certainly do a lot worse. For the style of beer it is, I’d buy this again if I was in the mood for it.

24 oz can labeled Genesee Ice (with no polar bear) pours a clear golden amber color with a quickly vanishing white head and little lacing. Smells grainy. Aroma is not as offensive as I feared, but not memorable either (mostly grassy hops and grain husks). Body is light to medium, without too much carbonation. Taste is sweet with a clean finish. Not nearly as bad as I expected for a 99 cent 24 oz. can.

What the fuck? This beer is called "Genesee Ice", not "Genny"... but anyway. Poured a spritzed quickly-dispensing corn-yellow into German boot glass. Smells and tastes predominately of corn husks, alcohol, noble hops and tin. Not perfect but for a little over .99, this does the trick and then some.
