UPDATED: JUL 12, 2006 OK, so itís a macrobrew. Itís cranked out by the last of the independents at an employee owned brewery. The beer itself is fine, and carries a lot more flavor than the usual suspects here. Unlike Bud Light and Coors it looks, smells and tastes like beer. Compared to the other light macrobrews it screams quality and value.

People only say this is worse than Bud lite, Coors light, Keystone and Natty when they know how cheap it is. Canít hold a candle to Miller Lite, but not bad for a really light beer. Not really my choice of brews, since I like beer that really tastes like beer, but Genny Light beats most of its targeted competition. That figure of 3.6% alc. is indeed what High Falls says. I had to check, since that seems ridiculously low. Okay to drink for the sake of drinking beer, but if you want some alcohol you might want to look elsewhere.

12 oz. can. As far as light beers go, this one is not that bad. You can keep Bud Light and the Silver Bullet. At least this beer has some flavor and looks a bit more like regular beer. Not up to the caliber of Sam Adams Light, but definitely a step up from the macro brew garbage.

Three years ago, I attended numerous bars in the area comparing this beer to Bud Light (the most popular beer in the US), and Coors Light (second most popular). Sure enough, I, like over half of the people who tested them, chose Genny Light. Noone was aware of the beer until after they made their decision. Donít rate your beer on what other people say or because of the price. One person says campfire, then the word campfire becomes a popular word on here. Taste the beers without using the biased beliefs you already have.

Heinous. A buddy bought me one as a joke in a bar near Buffalo. Faint, very faint malt aroma, faint, very faint colouring, faint flavour, billious and chemically aftertaste. This is bad.

The best part about this beer is that its named after me! Iím Genny with a G. This beer is brewed in Rochester where I went for undergrad so I drank A LOT of this beer!!!! Its pretty awful. I prefer Coors and Bud to this beer but its better than Natty or Keystone. borderline with Busch Light. Anyways...its ok drinking game beer when you are in Rochester. I havenít seen it down south. but Iím not looking for it either.

Ugh. I canít believe I never rated this, Iíve been forced to drink it enough. No aroma. Crappy light beer watered down flavor. Worth shotgunning at RBSG.

Much preferable to Bud light, and for the price, miller lite, if youíre looking for a light. remember the old 3.2 red beers? slightly above that level.

Legend has it that they make this beer by just scooping cans out of the sh*t-green Genesee River. One would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

The only beers worse than this one are Genny Cream Ale and Golden Anniversary. Rochester is the shit beer capital.
