I decided if i was going to lIve in western ny, i have to at least have the cheap beer from there. Enter Genny light. Light yellow, thin non existent head. Thin nose of corn. Corn corn corn on the front with bitterness. No hop flavor or aroma. Watery and thin body. Typical macro swill, but it claims to be nothing but that.

My tasting notes for this just say, "Light Beer 3.5." I don’t reckon I can really add a different angle to that that will really tell you any more about how this beer tastes so just say it’s clean and easy drinking and lead it at that.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big sweet toast and honey nose. The flavor is like most of these pale lagers, overly carbed, fizzy sweet, paper. Drinkable..of course. People probably drink 20 of these in a session. Good? No.

Well, I’ve done a video review of this beer, so I might as well do a written one. Chugged a pint in under 30 seconds. Taste was carbonated water with a touch of alcohol. Very pale pour, very high carb and a huge head. Another terrible beer.

Tastes on par with PBR. Good to drink in the north country of NY. Other than that I won't drink it anywhere else.

Tastes like corn syrup, musk, and a little fruity sweetness. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like corn, musk, and straw.

Wonderful tall boy present from Andrew. Pours pale straw yellow with creamy white head. Aroma is pale malts, sweet cream, and very faint toast. Flavor is creamy malt profile throughout with a touch of sweetness. Light body and medium carbonation.

Big ass 24oz can. Pours a pale straw body with a two finger fizzy white head that had pretty decent retention. Looks pretty good actually, it even left a bit of lacing. The nose is barely there, just a bit of corn and not much else. The flavor is just as absent, a little corn, minimal pale malt, zero hops, lots of water. Watery and fizzy mouthfeel with a mercifully short finish. Worth every penny of the 75 cents I paid for this.

12oz can, a friend gave this to me on the golf course. Typical American tasting macro pale lager light brew . Enough said.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Transfer from BA review on 11-15-12-
Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a light straw color with a huge white head. The head fades very rapidly to leave only a tiny amount of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is of a malt and a light corn and bready nature with some papery smells mixed within.
Taste – The taste starts out with some caramel and corn sweetness. There is a light bready taste up front as well. These flavors create a base and remain rather constant throughout the taste. Only toward the end dose a lighter bittering hop come to the tongue and with a slight fading of the sweetness, it leaves a rather drier and crisp feeling on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The beer’s body is quite light and watery and the carbonation level is rather high. Both are good for the style as they make for a very refreshing and easy drinking brew.
Overall – While certainly not the most flavorful, it is rather refreshing and at only $1.29 for a 24 oz can it makes for a great session brew.

Can (Old Notes)-Pours a lighter golden with a small white head. Aroma of corn. Taste of the same. This is just another light bodied light beer.
