bottle, bought in a tiny beer shop in a village in the Bavarian Forest. Golden yellow, large and persistent head. Hoppy nose. Hoppy flavours dominate the beer, there is a slight fruitiness dtectable. Slightly malty, too. The finish is hoppy and dry. Very nice!

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden to deep golden coloured with a smaller slowly collapsing white foamy layer; moderate rural-grainy nose with a delicate hayish-hoppy background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; "rural" finish with a dash of citrussy and "woody2 hops. Well balanced thirst-quencher......

(swing top bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and dense medium-sized foamy head. Slightly grainy malty aroma with notes of biscuits and slightly citric and flowery aroma hops. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Soft malty, slightly grainy and strawy taste with subtle fruity and herbal hoppy accents. Quite dry, bitter-sweet slightly malty and herbal hops. Balanced and likeable Helles. 30.V.10
