A classic IPA, hoppy but not bitter, but with the characteristic strength of those originally headed for Bombay.

Sparky (2243) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUN 20, 2009
On tap at the Draft Magazine PBS Beer Festival. Pours a clear gold with a white head. The nose is faint citrus hops and malt. The taste is tart citrus, caramel and some pine in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent IPA - better than the aroma indicated.

Pours copper from the tap with a trim white head of foam. Smells, tastes, and looks like an IPA, which is to say that it prominently features hops and lacks any other distinguishing characteristics.

On tap at Barrio pours a clear copper color with a small head with good lacing. Aroma of spicy hops and grapefruit. Flavor some of the same with a nice hop finish. A nice IPA.

Tasted 3/13/07 at the bar. Poured in a cold glass so it had to warm before I drank it. Full body with medium hop characteristics. Nice hop nose and full body. This is a decent IPA and is usually very consistent.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. A very good IPA. Lots of hoppy citrus on the aroma. Fell off a bit on the flavor with just a touch of soapiness. But overall, it was good. Still liked the Hefe the best, and that is strange for me.

On tap at GB - A clear amber color with a very light head. Nice lacing on the way down. Has a nice floral hop aroma. Flavor is hoppy with a tad bit of residual sweetness. Nice smooth bitterness. Medium body. By far, my favorite GB beer. Good stuff.

Barrel Draught from the jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 01/10/2005 Golden amber coloured sweet on the palate and hoppy. Crisp with a slightly dry finish.

GABF 2005: poured amber with a full beige head. Light butter notes int he aroma. Seems like big alcohol in the flavor to me. Medium hop presence. Medium citrus notes. Average.
