cbkschubert (1573), Skyline, Arizona, USA Oct 18, 2007 On tap @ Barrio Brewing Co. - Pours a light brown color with a small off white head. Light lacing. Aroma and flavor is light roasted malt, caramel malt, and light esters. Medium body. The alcohol kinda sneaks up on you. A decent beer. Worth a try. rmussman (691), California, USA Mar 2, 2007 Sampled in Spring 2005 during my last year at U of A. Arizona was playing in Idaho and Bobby Knight and Texas Tech and Ucla were in Tucson for a regional tourney. Was a great beer. Aroma was sweet. Appearace was light brown with a nice head. Mouthfeel was smooth. Flavor was very hoppy and nice. A great beer if in Tucson at the right time. turbo (1248), Arizona, USA Jan 29, 2006 Dark brown amber with a huge thick head and lacing.
Aroma is sweet, light roast and hops.
Flavor is hops and citrus, alcohol with a smooth and slightly bittter finish. Rastacouere (5283), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 25, 2005 I found the name intriguing enough to try it, I’m that easy. Yet the beer underneath was quite potent. It poured a dark amber robe covered by a nice creamy and frothy deep beige head. A strong malt base serves us a broad and mellow fruitiness (figs, grapes) that adds a juicy kick to the toffee and roasted chocolate nuances. Soft alcohol presence. Earthy and citrusy hops work well, procuring sufficient balancing bitterness without throwing any disturbing acidity in the pot. Medium-full body, soft carbonation. Might be a bit generic for what it tries to be, but it’s another that I’d talk about if I hadn’t had a dozen similar examples. Bockyhorsey (1973), Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 17, 2005 Dark amber color. Strong alcohol aroma. Hoppy flavor withan alcohol kick on the finish. Good beer but the manager said no when I asked to buy a jug on the way out the door.
