Reddish pour. Lots of caramel malt, some good citrus hop aromas, and some light toothpick. Flavor is dry, malty, yeasty and a decent hit of hops. Not bad.

on tap at barrio with the trains going by. i had to get something!!!

pours a very dark garnet brown with an off white head and lots of lacing trails. aroma of raisins, molasses, chocolate, lots of florals/esters, malt and coffee (when it warms). the flavor is awfully similar with a touch of earthy hoppy dryness and pleasant bitterness on the finish which keep in balanced quite well. it has a nutty coffee-like aftertaste... mmm. lots of alcohol vapors noticed as it warms ( i do have four beers in front of me. damn trains!). medium bodied but rather light mouth feel given the alcohol content of this thing...

Pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. The nose is floral hops and malt. The taste is pretty much the same. Medium bodied. An ok beer.

On tap @ AZ Strong Beer Festival. Burnt orange body with a razor thin white head. Citrus, brown sugar, caramel, and spice. Pretty faint aroma...the alcohol is hidden well. Not a bad AZ beer, but not mind-blowing.

Draft at Barrio. Dark brown with a nice tan head. Aromas of nutty, roasty coffee. Hints of chocolate and more nuttiness in the flavor. Alcohol is there, but not overpowering. Pretty good.

On tap @ Barrio Brewing Co. - Pours a light brown color with a small off white head. Light lacing. Aroma and flavor is light roasted malt, caramel malt, and light esters. Medium body. The alcohol kinda sneaks up on you. A decent beer. Worth a try.

Sampled in Spring 2005 during my last year at U of A. Arizona was playing in Idaho and Bobby Knight and Texas Tech and Ucla were in Tucson for a regional tourney. Was a great beer. Aroma was sweet. Appearace was light brown with a nice head. Mouthfeel was smooth. Flavor was very hoppy and nice. A great beer if in Tucson at the right time.
