Pour is dark reddish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of roast, sour fruit, grain, hints of grass, slight coffee, touch of ash, slight molasses. Taste is a mix of grass, caramel, toffee, hints of sour fruit, touch of grain, finishing slightly sour, slightly trashy.

Pint at Barrio. Very good beer, taste is warm, rich, and balanced for the style. It’s not as strong as I thought it might be, but it has a very rich taste. Very complex, it’s right up my alley!

Deep brown-black body with adequate head. Medium roasty nose with touches of ash.. Medium to full-bodied with moderate roastyness throughout with ash and molasses notes. A dry coal finish.

Draft at the Tucson airport near B3 food court. A pleasant surprise and the only non-macro I saw. Dark brown with red hues. A smallish tan head soon becomes a ring. The nose is mostly nutty with a hint of cocoa. The flavor also features nuts, pecans maybe, and is nicely hopped. It is more balanced than expected. The hops seem to include Cascade but perhaps at least one other variety. The nut flavors made this a hybrid porter / brown. Regardless, it was nice if not great.

(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, and lactose. Flavor of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some molasses.

On tap at Barrio Brewing. Pours a dark brown with a thin light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, light sweet malt. Flavor is roasted with lightly charred malt and mild sweetness. Lots of bitterness in the finish. Good porter, a little bland. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Black/brown pour with tan head and lace. Light chocolate and toasted malt aroma. Toasted malt and something like black patent flavor. Creamy carbonation but a bit thin. pretty good beer.

on tap-pours a disappearing light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty, then burnt/coffee. Taste is dark malt-roasty, then burnt/coffee/molasses, secondary earthy hops. Not my style.
