Golden, clear body with big soapy white head - almost like that of a duvel. Actually the aroma reminds me of less impressive Duvel as well, with a yeasty base, cornflakes, sharp grassy hops and some lemon. Bitter base taste that doesn’t develop much except an upcoming dryness in the aftertaste. Some white sugary sweetness lingers but is never found in the front. Not quite a Duvel - maybe too filtered - but tasty nonetheless. Refreshing too. (33cl bottle)

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgium, November 2011 consumed Sunday 12th December 2011 Pours light golden, excellent lager like clarity, large clean bubbly white head. Slight mineral edge on nose, touch of sharpness on nose not sure what it is. Soft in mouth, this definitely has a lagery edge to this, lager malts or hops maybe? Dry, clean tasting beer, again the mineral, slightly metallic side is showing, sweetness also in mouth. Not bad for a lagery Belgian Ale. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

shoulderbroken (1698) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle at De Planck. Pale blond colour with white fluffy head. Aroma is bubblegum sorachi ace, bit peppery and a bit fruity. Taste is very saison like, fruity, bubblegum and quite refreshing. As you go down the glass it becomes less interesting. Bit thin in the mouth. Quite nice, but lacking something to make it stand out. Bit bland.

Swaroga (1108) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 26, 2011
33cl bottle. Very clear yellow with a good snowy white head. Nose : Floral notes. Yeast, little honey. Lemon and bread aromas. Sip : Creamy but not annoying full-throat feeling. Efficient carbonation (digestion friendly). Medium bitter hops with sour yeast surrounded with floral notes. Balanced citrus aromas aswell. Add some little coriander and a bit of honey malts and you have a nice refreshing blond beer. Good stuff.

DruncanVeasey (6950) - NUNEATON, Top 24, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2011
Bottle the in-laws brought me back from their trip to see Blues beat Brugge. Pale yellow with a piled, aromatic whip of foam. Aroma of G+T, fresh sappy hop, lemon meringue pie filling. Crisp and tanging; botanicals, lemongrass and lime, coriander, grassy hop rounded with creamy malt. Not a sniff of booze. A minor treasure- one of those I could happily drink every day. Maybe it’s just too long since I’ve been to Belgium.....

Bottle, bought @ Skjold Burne, Aarhus.
Pours pale golden with a firm, staying, frothy, white head. Sweet aroma, esters, oranges, malts, fairly sweet, light grassy. Medium, prickly carbonation, fine dry and mild creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is malty, light sugary, grassy and fairly bitter hops. Lingering bitterness. Simple, yet rather nice.

Clear goldblond coloured beer with large rocky white head and lots of carbonation. Few bit hoppy aroma. Full creamy palate. Finish is rather spicy with a hoppy touch ending bitter dry. Not bad.
