Bottle. Clear amber color, small white coca cola head. Aroma of light caramel. Taste is very malt forward and sweet.

Bottle. Free ticky tick tick. A: Cloudy red with a thin white head. Lacing. N: Pine, biscuit, leaves, hint of honey and heather. T: Bigger sweetness. Not much bitterness - which surprised me. Clean. M: Medium body, light carbonation, no alchol. O: Clean and easy to drink. Definitely on the sweet side, though. A clean and uninteresting beer that exists.

"not bad. i like the use of caramel malt here, but there’s really not a whole lot else going on. poor man’s red...another one that i’ll take if it’s free but don’t buy."

Disappointing amber with an acidic fruitiness and foamy mouthfeel docking points. Yet another failed macro with a dishonest marketing pitch.

Dark in color, but light in taste. Refreshing and light, not thick, taste like a beer

Appearance: medium amber red, creamy light tan head. Aroma: roasted barley, caramel, hint of nuts and leather. Taste: as the aroma indicates. Finish: lingering lightly toasty sweetness. Notes: Ok, I don’t hate this beer. Average, but a decent enough choice when selection is limited. It’s the Stella Artois of amber lagers.

Poured from a longneck into a frosted mug. Mahogany color with thin off white head. Slight lacing. Smells malt, wheat, corn, toast. Taste of malt and hops, nice sweet aftertaste. One of my favorites, I havent had one in a while I’ve been so busy trying all these new craft beers. The price has come down on a six pack, so I will have to include this in my "malt diet" more often!

From bottle. Pours a clear red with almost no head or lacing; what’s there is white and dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet, light caramel, bread. Taste is the same. Almost no hops. Thin mouthfeel. Pleasant but not special.

I had this at Fridays. Pours reddish with off white head. Taste Carmel, sweet, malt. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 12-29-12- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – As the name implies the brew is served a clear dark red/mahogany color with a one finger off white head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving only a very light level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is a mix of roasted malt, caramel, as well as a brown sugar sweet smell. Mixed with these smells is a light nut. Taste – The taste starts out heaviest of a caramel sweetness mixed with a lighter roasted malt flavor. As the taste advances the roasted flavors become slightly more pronounced, but never gain that much flavor, while a corn and brown sugar sweetness take mover the sweeter flavors from the initial caramel taste. A light nuttiness and a odd earthy hop flavor come to the tongue at the very end. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was average in terms of creaminess as well as carbonation. The body and carbonation were fitting for making a very easy drinking session brew. Overall – While a little on the sweet side with some transitions that are a bit abrupt, overall there was nothing off putting about the brew and it was quite easy drinking and sessionable.
