3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Bottle: Color: Chocolate with a reddish tint. Aroma: Malt / Chocolate. Flavor: Creamy malt flavoring, is surprisingly light for a stout/ Mild coffee, toasted or roasted flavor. The drawback, its a little on the watery side. However, goes down extremely smooth. Overall, definitely a treat.

Way blacker than I would have expected. Itís kind of a black hole, since no light really passes through it. The head is a tad weak but other than that not bad.
The aroma surprised me: burnt cookies, raisins and plums. There is a salty soy component, hint of mineral. Stunned at the aroma so far.
The taste is sweeter than the scent would indicate. There is more of that mineral-rock, but also a kind of musty malt. Not bad but doesnít quite hold up to the promise of the aroma.
Feel is a combo of cigarette ashes and olive oil. A pretty decent offering by Killians, I have to say. My inclination was to crap on any Coors product but at least this put some thought into it.

Not bad considering itís coming from Killianís. It had a nice head that lasted about a minute or two and the taste with that was pretty good. After it dissolved, the rest of the beer was thin with a mild smoke flavor, with almost no bitterness or depth to it. However, it was not unpleasant and was a smooth drink.

Bottle from mom. Not bad, nothing amazing either. That being said nice notes of coffee and roasted malt. Fine.

I am a stout guy, however, I would not consider this beer an actual stout. It taste more like a porter to me. The aroma is terrific, as well as appearance, but the taste is over powered by a roasty chocolate taste, and lacks the bitterness of a true stout. I would drink it again, but probably not recommend it as one of my best when there are so many stouts out there. BUT, for the bang for the buck, you really cant beat it at $7 a sixpack.

Faint malt aroma, a two finger caramel colored head on top of black body, Mild bitter roasted malt with some sweetness, Lots of carbonation for a stout. Leaves a wet roasted malt taste afterwards. Not spectacular but Iíd drink again.

A little bitter stout, but with a decent taste. Not so impressed with it, but I will drink it again... why not?

Darkest brown body, long lasting tan head gives way to crisp chocolate and roasted malts. Overall a unique Dry Stout. Minimal bitterness and solid malt body brew up a well built stut. Paired with Old Croc extra sharp cheddar cheese.

Deep chocolate brown with a moderate tan head. Nice lacing. Roasted Malt, Dark Chocolate, Espresso. Finishes a bit on the dry side for the style. Still quite nice for a macro, especially at the price point (<$.10/oz).
