4.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Hard to understand the low rating this has gotten (probably a bias against it being a Coors product).
This is a solid beer. Pours beuatifully with a thick and creamy tan head that lasts. Nice roastiness...not overdone like so many craft/micro products; same with alcohol content, just right. The body is well worth noting too...great mouthfeel and very much like a true stout should be (again, as opposed to most other American examples). Only thing missing (but not a deal breaker) is the characteristic sour tang such as that exhibited by the benchmark Irish stout, Guinness Extra.
All in all, this is great stuff at a realistic price. Iíll buy this over almost any other American made stout. Itís that good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
George Killianís Irish Stout has a thick, beige head, a dark brown appearance (almost black), and some nice, heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of rich, dark-roasted malt and brown bread crust. Taste is of sweet, rich, brown bread and crust, some coffee, a shade of dark cherry, and pleasant, bitter hops. There might even be some cream or milkiness in the flavor. Mouthfeel is medium and edging on heavy, and the finish is dry, mellow, and delicious. Overall, this is another winner from Molson-Coors. RJT

I was pretty shocked with how much I liked this beer. Not very roasty or heavy, it goes down real smoothly. The flavor isnít too sweet or dry or milky or oatmeal, itís just good.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Really enjoyed this, more chocolaty with a lesser coffee flavor than most Austin or Colorado stouts, and comparatively little or no bitterness. Overall sweet toasty malt, good palate and overall flavor. Good price point.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The color of this beer is black with an off white head, and the aroma is fairly subtle with hints of chocolate and roasted malts. The taste is mildly umami and slightly sweet, yet the palate combines a medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation, and an abrupt finish, which makes it pleasant.

Got a 6 pack at HEb for $7. Well worth it, you can taste the chocolate and coffee flavors, but it tastes a bit watered down. Overall pretty decent though.
