Bottle from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Hazed amber with a lovely underlying orange citrus fruit flavour that lingers, although it feels and smells like a pale ale in texture and taste.

500ml bottle from a near-neighbour of the brewery, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear copper with a decent, long-lasting white head. Bit of butterscotch on the nose, soapy and floral hops. Taste brings a touch more interest, some spice. OK for a best bitter.

50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - a lovely lava colour with a nice thin lacy head. Nose - mild chocolate biscuits, with a touch of pine/floral. Taste - biscuit and spices. Palate - surprisingly light body for a bitter, decently balanced finish though. Overall - a solid citizen.

(Bottle): Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, nuts, biscuit and bread. Similar notes in the taste with a nice bitterness and a sweet aftertaste. Very nice bitter, sessionable and tasty.

Nice dark colour but quickly disappearing head. Very fizzy start, exciting on the tongue with a long, bitter finish. The bubbles excite the tongue before the buzz of bitter sends you on a roller coaster of flavours finish with a dark smooth end of the line. To queue up for another ride. --- Rated!

Half pint, cask ale, hand-pulled at Port Street Beer House in Manchester. Decent off-white head, blanketing the glass. Clear amber coloured body. The aroma is dry with dusty hops and a note of almond. Malt-fruity taste including a touch of grapefruit and almond. Smooth malt bitter endnotes. Nice (07.07.2012).
