Strong ale, light amber in colour. A strong citrus taste balanced by the bitter hop.

Handpull @ The Pembury . Amber with a lasting white head. Pale and caramalt, tropical fruit, honey and hops, possibly amarillo, in the nose. Taste is much the same, superb balance and a nice dry, bitter finish. A lovely beer.

1. Cask Handpump at the Richard John Blackler, Liverpool 07/06/2008 Large white head. Fruit and hop aromas. Golden coloured very hoppy and fruity grapefruit flavour with a slightly creamy crisp dry and bitter malt finish. 2. Cask Handpump at the George Wright Brewing Company, Rainford 05/07/2008 Fruit and hop aromas. Golden coloured hoppy and fruity with some alcohol present. A little malt in a bitter lasting finish.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2013. Hazed light orange pour with a small white head. Aroma is lemon rind hay and grain store. Flavour is English yeast esters, dry grain tanin, light berry.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold amber with white bubbly head. Flavoursome, if slightly perfumed, bigger bitter. Carrying some caramel but in this case it adds to the body, reasonably dry in the finish. Quite reasonable.

Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel notes, fruity, moderate hoppy, citrus notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (280708)

Cask @ Edgar Wallace, Temple, London WC2. Pours a dark golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask handpull at The Welkin, JDW, Liverpool. Copper beer with lasting off white head. Nice. Bit perfumed. Bitter hop finish. I mean really bitter. Caramel on the aroma. Some creaminess in mouth and then really bitter finish. Yeah, it’s alright. Bit odd, but finish wins through
