3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Runway Cafe in Georgetown on 06.16.14.
A: Mostly opaque amber/red. See through on the sides. 1/2 finger head that stayed.
S: Sweet bready malt. Flower also.
T: Caramel and sweet bready malt are dominant. Flower is subtle.
M: Crisp. Very bubbly, maybe too much so.
O: This was very carbonated, but that made it easier to drink than other ambers. There are better amber ales, but this one is good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Ballard Beer Company. Dark red color with a big hop head and lots of lacing. Hoppy and vegetal hops circa 2005. An interfering yeast fruit. Unfortunate caramel and sweetness in the beer as well. A red that should have been made better 5 years ago.

Average red styled brew with a touch more on the hoppy side to keep it tasty enough.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at The Keg in Lynnwood. Pours a hazy reddish dark amber color with a moderate brown head on there. Nose is malt-forward, with some caramel and breadiness in there. Taste is a bit toasty, yet manages to be quite crisp and pleasant. Not bad at all.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Iíve had this dozens if times and itís quite variable. Sometimes it is very hoppy, citrusy and piney, creamy texture and malty sweet. Presumably when itís fresh. But the about 50% of the tine it tastes like a mediocre amber with stale hops and toasted plastic. When itís good itís great and thatís how I choose to remember it.
