This is a big big beer that fools you. Big hop nose, lots of citrus, grapefruit, orangey zesty goodness with a little pine. There’s a solid malt backbone, yet not too much caramel or overly sweet. Instead you get a firm malt toast and a somewhat dry finish. When IPAs exceed the 7% range it makes me think of them more as a IIPA. However, the lightness of this beer’s body is a ++ attribute. No detectable off-flavors. I wish I could consider this to be the new standard for IPA.

Solid well balanced IPA -- Lucille from Georgetown in Seattle. Good malt base with fresh hop flavor, including citrus and floral notes. Just the right amount of bitterness. Well rounded! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good combination of hops here - probably my favorite three. And this beer executes on it.

Growler from riversideak. Pours a clear bright orange with white head. Aroma of nice floral hops, clean finish and well done.

Tap: Murky copper color with a small bubbly ring head. Super hoppy aroma full of citrusy notes, grapefruit and grass. A little zing in the aftertaste. Solid NW IPA!

Super-solid, super-delicious IPA. Crisp and clean. Bold yet balanced and incredibly easy to quaff. Bursting with aromas (citrusy and floral). Grapefruit flavors. Snappy nips of hop bitterness and lemon, but nothing overwhelming; just the right amount. Wonderful IPA. Wish it were bottled.

On tap at Sharp’s Roast House. Taste is bitter hops, grapefruit, booze and pine. Excellent balance and solid IPA.

I find it to be the best IPA in the Seattle area! It has excellent, strong hoppy flavor, light on the malt. It has a nice caramel color and hoppy, citrus aroma; and it doesn’t have "what I call" the "funny IPA aftertaste." A good solid beer!

Draught at Mckay’s Taphouse, Bellingham
Cloudy amber color, with creamy head. Nice aroma of resiny and fruity hops, some earthy character. Good malt and toffee flavor, with strong earthy character, malt, caramel, manure; the hop is mainly earthy, with moderate fruitiness; there is a light residual sweetness; and strong bitterness.
Straight IPA, good.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2013 Serving: from tap at Via Tribunali. Aroma: heavily piney-hoppy. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fully diminishing longevity and very good lacing. Hazy, medium-amber body. Taste: moderately bitter initial taste with moderately bitter finish and long duration. Palate: medium to full-bodied with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: very good, not harshly hoppy, but a bit too hoppy for my taste.
