A draught pint poured at cool little restaurant calls Jak’s in Issaquah, Wa, this copper colored brew was aromatic, citrusy, and appatizingly bitter. Perfect pint to have before having a nice meal.

Cloudy orange, nice white head. Faint bready, citrusy aroma - hints of grapefruit and orange? Maybe? Nice bracing but not overpowering bitterness. Ever so faint sweetness in the background. Very, very drinkable stuff here.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap pretty much everywhere in the Seattle area. Aroma is a mix of biscuity malt and some mild citrus hops. Pours a hazy orangish color. It does look like a hefe in some accords. Flavor is more or less the same a the aroma. Its got some biscuity malts with some dry citrus and funky hops. It is a little soapy and has a pleasant finish. A great session ale.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2008 Draft. Orange and hops blend the nose. Very hefe-like orangish brown, thick-hazy appearance. Nice bitter-sweet flavor with floral citrus fruits, pale hops, and grains. Tastes like a hefe-APA blend that goes down as smooth as can be. A great, unique example of the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at the Garage, Seattle. Aroma is a very even blend of floral hops and sweet malt with a good caramel character. Appearance is an orange light gold with a very low head. Flavor is similar to aroma with a very even hop/malt balance with both fairly pronounced. Mouthfeel is moderate bodied with high carb texture. Overall, well made and very well balanced.

Draft. Poured a slightly hazy orange color. Head was white with good retention. There was some decent lace left behind on the glass at the end. Pleasant aroma of flowery hops. Delicately sweet on the tongue with light citrusy hops and biscuity malt. Reminded me a lot of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

A really good unfiltered pale ale in the "American Style". Citrus notes can be smelled and there’s a nice cascade hop finish. Can be drunk by just about anyone.
