The Viking in Spokane, nice pour, golden amber colored. Not much head. Aroma lacks fruit. Goes down easy, little to no aftertaste. Easy drinking pale, nice.

This beer tastes like summer. Great aroma, looks like beer but not cheap crap beer. Had it on tap and liked it.

Nicely but moderately hopped in a craft brew style (meaning at least there is some hop character). The mouthfeel is above average and doesn’t have a malty syrupy feel (something I personally don’t care for). There is an interesting honeyish finish to the zesty burst of hops and grapefruit character that tickles taste buds on the sides of your tongue. Love the hazy tawny appearance...you see the murky amber beer being poured and you’re already anticipating something half decent! First glass (on tap at Emerald Grill in Seattle) and I would both recommend this beer and enjoy another.

Draft at SEA. Pours a hazy deep orange color with an OK white head. Not much of an aroma. Some hops, but pretty bland. Light hoppy taste, with some lemon zest in the background. Light, dry finish. OK pale ale and could definitely have more. But not bad.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: from tap at Via Tribunali.
Aroma: lightly hoppy with piney overtones.
Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with fully diminishing longevity and good lacing. Hazy, dark-yellow body.
Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and finish with short duration.
Palate: light to medium bodied with watery texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: the reason that Manny’s is on tap everywhere is Seattle is because it’s an excellent, all-purpose beer. It’s got a great, hoppy, piney aroma and taste without being overwhelmingly bitter. It goes down smoothly and is not too heavy on the alcohol.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap, pours a hazy amber color with a good head and good lacing. Smells of pine, citrus, and medium malt. Tastes of pine, citrus and caramel with a good hop presence for a pale ale. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation. Overall this is a Seattle area staple as far a beer goes. One of the best pale ales around in my opinion.

Smells of wet dog. Malt ovcerpower much of the hops for a pale. Copper colored, and a sweet, caramel taste. Only okay.

Growler from Uptown!!! Pours a darker pale color with a solid white head. Smell is hoppy and amazing. The taste is well balanced. I tried Lucille and didn’t like it as much as this one! They don’t bottle so you better find a tap somewhere!
