A careful selection of Northwest hops, premium barley, and our unique yeast give this ale a rich and complex malty middle with a snappy hop finish. Crisp, clean and smooth with hints of citrus and fruit.

Serving: from tap at Via Tribunali. Aroma: lightly hoppy with piney overtones. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with fully diminishing longevity and good lacing. Hazy, dark-yellow body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and finish with short duration. Palate: light to medium bodied with watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: the reason that Manny’s is on tap everywhere is Seattle is because it’s an excellent, all-purpose beer. It’s got a great, hoppy, piney aroma and taste without being overwhelmingly bitter. It goes down smoothly and is not too heavy on the alcohol.

Draught at Ernest Loves Agnes, 11/2/15.
The best appearance, by far, of the three I had that night (Seahops, Kulshan, this). Obviously unfiltered, yet bright, with a copper-golden body and a very well-retained white head.
This seemed to have been a very popular beer around town and for good reason. It’s assertively hoppy, yet not obnoxiously bitter. The malt balanced nicely with plentiful toasted grain/sourdough as well as honey and light caramel. Nothing fancy on the hops, just a pretty straightforward citrus character with light pine accents. Very light hint of tropical fruit in the nose. Towards the end of the glass, the malt wore on me a bit too much, adding too much toasted character, which exacerbated the hop acidity, somewhat unbalancing the beer flavorwise. The mouthfeel was spectacular, however, with tight, appropriate carbonation and a malty, supple texture.

On tap at the Inter Bay golf course. Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has resin and pine with a strong sweet grain and toffee backbone. Flavor is similar with caramel and sweet grains up front with a grass and resin backbone.

On tap at Joe’s Bar and Grill in downtown Seattle. An orange amber beer with a moderate white head and a pronounced orange citrus nose. On the palate we have citrus hops and robust malt background notes. 3.4.
