COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ab Aschermittwoch bis Ostern, fast schwarz, naturtrüb, 5,2% vol., 13% Stammwürze, nach altem Rezept von Benediktiner Mönchen gebraut, um die Fastenzeit besser zu überstehen, etwas kräftiger im Geschmack.

Draught, 5.2% at the brewpub. Malty, toffeelike and buttery aroma. Dark brown colour, quite cloudy. Big creamy light brown head, seems stable, but then falls apart. The flavour is malty, then quite roasted. Turns creamy with a little smoke and coffee. Good mouthfeel.
