3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottled) Clear, dark reddish amber color with a smallish, white and foamy, lacy head. Same aroma as in the gerardus Blond, but with some added caramel. Toffee-malty, caramely flavor with some acidity and roastiness. Medium-bodied, quite foamy-carbonated palate. Quite easy and boring dubbel, but at least it’s not spoiled with excess sugar. Hides the ABV well.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, quickly diminishing head. Aroma is nice with caramelly, raisiny notes. Tastes a tad boring, mainly sweet and malty with hints of raisins. Drinkable, but not actually comparable to a nice trappist dubbel.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beautiful deep red beer with beige head, aroma with cherries and berries. The flavor is quite sweet, turning sweeter during the drink, starting with cherries and (cran?)berries, ending caramelly. Quite nice, not very complex but easy drinkable and pleasant.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Virtually no head; dark chestnut brown, virtually clear and little carbonation. Coloured malts, caramel, even some toffee in the nose. Hints of hops, but at the same time it ends in something sour-metallic-oxydised, shame. Sweet main taste, again toffee-like. Also a slight grassy touch; but this is unfortunatley confluent with a sourish, rotten taint which makes me think of a grassmower, left unemptied in the rain... Sticky mouthfeel and rather thinnish texture. Something went wrong somewhere. Double shame, as my first impressions were positive. And then this rotting grass aroma creeps in.
