Smaczne piwo klasztorne z Holandii. Jest niczym jak tego samego typu piwo z Belgii. Mocne rozgrzewające, ciemne i przyprawowe. Ogólnie smakował mi ten dubbel. Jedyne czego brakowało to drożdży na dnie butelki.

Colour is dark brown with a thin whit, slightly tanned head. Bit of friut spice and maltyness to the aroma. Flavor is sweet with phenols and esters. The body is full with lots of small sparkels. The finish is somewhat dry but leaves the impression of the full body. Overall a nice example of the style. BJCP - 18B.

Beautiful deep red beer with beige head, aroma with cherries and berries. The flavor is quite sweet, turning sweeter during the drink, starting with cherries and (cran?)berries, ending caramelly. Quite nice, not very complex but easy drinkable and pleasant.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2005 On tap at the brewery Quite a difference from the bottle. So much more refreshing. Sweet, butterscotch, light spices. Much better. Bottled, 2.9 Spicy, some licorice aroma. Dark brown/red colour, nice head. Bit bitter, rather thin, some sweetness, spicy. Finish is short with hop bitter and licorice.

Nice dubbel. Pours dark red with a long rocky head. Classic belgian strong malt and sugar aromas, most of all caramel and red fruit a bit similar to a grimberben. Very sweet full body and nice oily feel, high carbonation and long finish,

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong head and a warm roasted aroma. The flavour is rich and roasted with lashings of dark berries. Overall a reasonable beer.
