Bottle @ home.
Clear medium red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, bread, milk chocolate, nutty notes, moderate to light heavy brown sugar, earth and root crops notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (050508)

Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and dusty hops. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of caramel combined with notes of dusty hops towards the finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours golden hazzlenut brown/amber and with an off-white head. Light malty, cardboardish aroma. Flavour is smooth caramel malty, slight bitterhops note. Ends with a smooth lingering caramel malt flavour.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, warm, reddish brown with a creamy, beige head. Lightly tart, roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel. Roasted, lightly sweet malt accents and a dry, discreet finish that only contains a hint of hops. 170107

Bottled. Ruby colour with big beige head. Strong ryeish aroma with sweet malty hints. Sweet roasted malt along with caramellish hints in flavour. The finish is hoppy, kind of dry and ryeish. Aftertaste becomes a bit sweeter.

Draught at Berliner Bierfestival. Clear orange brown coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Flavour of malts, caramel and hops. Hoppy finish.

Bottled. Clear brownish amber, rich firm head. Sweet earthy nose. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel, some unfortunate boiled vegetables and malt syrup. Medium bodied with low bitterness. Disappointing.

Draught, as Gessner Dunkles. Weak bready aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small, stable light brown head. Nice roasted barley bitterness. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. Slightly creamy, rather bitter aftertaste.

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours dark ruby amber with a creamy head on top. Lots of caramel and a bit of bread and dark fruit. Vaguely roasted. Smooth and medium bodied. Good.

Beautiful dark amber color. Aroma of malt, caramel, wet cereals; sweet. Good body structure, a bit dry in the beginning; strong caramel flavor; good bitterness level. Straight-forward, but well brewed.
