Nice finish at first. Very smooth. A little harsh after most of a glass. Great legs. Worth a repeat for sure.

Pours golden with a thin tan head. Aroma of spruce with light toasty caramel. Predominately sweet, complimented by a significant bitterness. A very good IPA overall, well balanced.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2013 On tap at Mellow Mushroom. Pours an amber color with an almost two finger off white head. Slight lacing. Aroma of hops, but not overwhelming. Seems to have a good earthy hoppiness. The taste is very smooth. There is a balance of the malts and hops, which I really like. I thought it had a medium feel to it, slightly on the light side. Not as thick as other IPAs, but this made it extremely drinkable. Carbonation is just right. Very smooth. Overall, this turned out to be a really good and smooth IPA. I’m really glad its a local one. I’ll be drinking more of it. Great first offer by Ghost River.
