The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium-sized cream-colored head. The aroma blends cereal malt,, toasted malt, hay, caramel, and a subtle cocoa note, and the taste is slightly bitter and slightly sweet with the dominant flavors being earthy and caramel. The aftertaste is quite malty with some hop flavor lingering. The mouthfeel combines a medium-light body, light carbonation, and a slick texture.

Clear, deep copper pour with a two finger creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, light woody notes, toast, bread crust, light tree fruit notes, a hint of leather, and light citrus, spicy and floral hops. Flavor is toasty wood up front, some caramel, light toffee, bread crust, light lactose, light nutty notes, soft water, faint leather and light spicy, herbal and citrus hops. Light to medium body, soft, creamy entry, light, sharp carbonation drier finish. Pretty good, it has an interesting, well fitting mouthfeel.
