A golden amber coloured beer with a fresh hoppy aroma and a clean feel on the palate, a very quaffable beer.

Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England

Light unclear medium orange amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, warm fruit, apricot. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat flat. [20101201]

Cask@Market Porter, London. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a small off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some fruits, mild riped fruits as well as some slight resiny notes. Flavour is mildly nutty, quite wooden and also has a crisp maltyness to it. Aroma was rather promising, but the flavour was more one-dimensional.

Cask, handpump @ The Powder Monkey, Exmouth, Devon.
Dull, tawny gold with excellent clarity. Good sized rocky white crown is steadfast for the length and leaves a fine lace. Peppery, soft herbal and earthy hop nose with an edge of fresh baked white bread. Bright hops in the mouth; peppery, herbal and citric with lemon zest and rose water giving it a tanginess in back. A sweet orange note upfront, some biscuity malt also adds a sugary edge. Quite earthy and woody in the swallow giving it balance. Nice bitter bite, finish is quite dry. The light body and clean mouthfeel gives it points. This is refreshing stuff, and I believe I got it at it’s prime. A nice session bitter.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’11. Gold with white head. Quite meadow like in a way, sweetish with a corn flower and clover in the background, light, spring like and reasonably refreshing. It’s fine.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 2 (beer #11) on 1 December 2010. Gold/amber. Slight haze. Not much life. Clean enough, with some grassy hops and a hint of citrus. Palatable enough but not in great condition.
