bottle, purchased at the brewery tap. Clear chestnut brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of caramel. Light-bodied yet with a solid malty base with caramel, roasetd malts and plums, perhaps some dried fruit and nuts. Smooth palate. Very nice.

It’s mahogany colores and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of caramel and raisin. The moderately sweet flavor is slightly dry with notes of caramel, light salty licorice, light dark fruit and the finish is rather dry. A very nice dunkel.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, many thanks. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, and some coffee hints. Taste, sweet malty, caramel, chocolate hints. Bittersweet finish. Good.

Bottle 33cl from Quack-Duck thanks a lot. A clear brown beer with low head, nose is caramel like and hopy. A quite malty beer with caramel and toasted notes, finish is malty with a peppery and bitter finish. A good dunkel.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2011 A: The pour is a dark brown color with a finger of khaki colored head that dies down to a thin layer. S: A slight butter note on the front end of the nose. There is a lot of lager yeast and a touch of dark fruits. Lots of bread, particularly toasted bread. A mild toffee aroma on what is a moderately sweet nose overall. T: Big time toffee flavor to this beer. Fairly bready as well with a nice toastiness. Lots of lager yeast and just yeast flavor in general. There is a pronounced raisin flavor to the beer and a mild bitterness on the back of the throat. M: On the light end of medium in body with a moderate carbonation. The beer is quite slick on the tongue. O: Lots of different things going on, but overall it has a good flavor, and it was light and easy to drink.
