Bottle from Quack-Duck, tasted 310710. Thanks! Dark brown color. Caramel and cake dough in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor, well hopped with grassy floral hops. Nutty bitter finish. Nice one!

It’s mahogany brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and initially also light metal. The flavor is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, roasted malt, licorice that grows stronger and ends a bit salty.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Im Glas sehr tief braun, ähnelt einem Schwarzbier. Es bildet sich nur wenig Schaum. Der Antrunk fällt sehr röstig aus, ein Hauch von Rauch kommt ebenfalls durch. Der Abgang zeigt sich karamellig, mit leichter Schoko Note, ebenfalls sehr röstig. Sehr gelungenes Dunkles!!!

Bottle from Quack-Duck, many thanks. Dark brown color with small beige head. Aroma of yeast, roasted malt caramel. Taste is not so sweet as I expected, there is some caramel, malt, coffee. Bittersweet finish with some toffee notes. Drinkable.

Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks, a dark beer with small head that goes quickly. Nose is a bit strange, sourish like. Aroma is very malty, dry with toasted notes, caramel, some whiskey malt notes, burnt hay, very bitter and astringent finish, a bit unusual.

Unauffälliger süß-malziger Geruch. Malzig und mit gehobener Süße im Antrunk. Im Mittelteil fällt das Bier ab auf hopfig-brotige Töne, vermischt mit metallischen Spuren. Im Abgang einseitig malzwürzig. Knapp durchschnittliches Bier mit einigen Fehlaromen. Zu wenig Kraft.Test vom 10.6.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Wenig aromatischer Antrunk, in dem das Bier bereits deutliche Blechspuren aufweist. Muffig, langweilig, zum Ende herber, kaum malzig. Dieses Bier hat nichts zu bieten! 8/5/6/6/8/5

The bottle looks good, as well as the beer in the glass. Brown, creamy head. Starts malty, modest dry, a little bit smoky. Not too roasty, a bit fruity like berries. Finish a bit rusty-dry. Not bad!

Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, grey off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light galvanized pipe. [20091002]
