Serving: from bottle--purchased at Allendörfer. Aroma: lightly caramel malty. Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-red body. Taste: moderately sweet, caramel initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium body, dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: a very unique beer. It’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Very good flavor and interesting appearance. I’d like to try this again.

rötlich braun leicht trüb. Aroma: süßes Malzbier. Geschmack: leicht herber als Herkömmliches Malzbier. Sehr süffig.

Bottle from trade with Erzengel, many thanks! Dunkel rötlichbraune Farbe, ordentliche leicht beige Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, Malzbonbons, etwas Cola. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, Zucker, Malzbiergeschmack, nicht so toll!

Bottle-thanks cgreb! 4.6 abv. Sweet bread crust aroma with some spicy Hallertauer hops notes. Clear mahogany under a persistent, tan, flannel blanket. Very sweet bread crust and tangy almond flavour with some fried fruit and no bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, sticky sweet finish. Not a porter by any stretch of the imagination.

Zuckerwasser mit etwas Malz und vielleicht ein wenig Schokolade. Suess, recht sueffig, aber irgendwie auch etwas eklig. Naja...

Bottle from local T & S. Pours out in a deep black colour with no real head and medium to sticky body. Awful aroma of sugar and malt. Taste of sweet malt, brown sugar, white sugar and caramel. Awful sugary beer with some roasty hints. Awful beer.

Bottle. Light black with a thin head. Aroma is dull malt. Flavor is sweet malt, not much else, a maltztrunk.

0,5 l bottle with a lot label glue on the bottle glass. Not very appetizing. And it´s not called beer under the old and outdated german law. Pours dark red brown with a tanned crown. Sweet malt and soap at the nose. Short description: Don´t expect a real Porter. We call that in german Malztrunk with maybe a little bit licorice. Not recommended.
