4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: from bottle--purchased at Allendörfer.
Aroma: lightly caramel malty.
Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-red body.
Taste: moderately sweet, caramel initial flavor and finish with average duration.
Palate: medium body, dry texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: a very unique beer. It’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Very good flavor and interesting appearance. I’d like to try this again.

Bottle. Light black with a thin head. Aroma is dull malt. Flavor is sweet malt, not much else, a maltztrunk.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
0,5 l bottle with a lot label glue on the bottle glass. Not very appetizing. And it´s not called beer under the old and outdated german law. Pours dark red brown with a tanned crown. Sweet malt and soap at the nose. Short description: Don´t expect a real Porter. We call that in german Malztrunk with maybe a little bit licorice. Not recommended.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It’s red mahogany with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and a touch of licorice. The flavor is sweet, very sweet, with notes of burnt sugar, syrup, caramel and a touch of licorice towards the sweet and slightly dry finish.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draught @ BBF13. Pours clear dark ruby with small off-white head. Roasty aroma of malt with a touch of caramel. Sweet flavour of molasses and caramel malt and molasses. Ditto aftertaste. Would be much better without it. Quite unbalanced. Nowhere near anything like poryer

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle from a trade... deep black, creamy beige head. Aroma of roasetd malts. Sweet start, perhaps a tad too sweet, but quite pleasant with flavours of chocolate, caramel and freshly ground coffee (very shy). Quite nice, even if it has elements of a sweet malzbier.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a deep brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of sweet grainy malt and toasted malt. Medium, lively body. Flavour of sweet malt, vanilla smooth with a sweet finish. Nice if a bit too cloying to session on, but definitely not a porter.
