COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
TicWitTic is a Sour Belgian Wit. The beer started as a very traditional Belgian-style Wit with a mash of pilsner malt, flaked wheat and oats. The brewers then kettle soured it for two days with lactobacillus, which lowered the pH to 3.55 and provided an incredibly clean sourness. They then briefly boiled and added Willamette and Crystal hops, and the traditional Wit ingredients: Curacao orange peel, sweet orange peel, coriander, and chamomile flowers. It was fermented with the Forbidden Fruit Belgian yeast strain. The final beer is beguilingly cloudy, has citrusy aroma, and is extremely refreshing, with a drinkably sour finish. It comes in at 3.9% ABV.

Tap at BD Shperds Bush. Pours hazy yellow with a small, creamy white head. Nose is very straw and earthy with plenty of lemon zest, dough and mild musk. Drinkability is crazy good. Lots of straw and lemon with plenty of doughy bread. Nice grassiness to it with floral hops. Very refreshing. Great drop

Keg at BrewDog Manchester. Clear golden shade with a head that slinks away to zero. Not much in the aroma but on the tongue plenty seems to be going on. It’s lemony, grassy and has a pronounced floral character, plus a hint of yeasty spiciness to round it off. And nicely sour of course. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Pours a completely clear and headless, almost cider like. Rich oaty and light vinegar and soft bath salts. Sooking sourness from the get go, very clean and condensed BW. Again almost light a peppery cider. Gummy juiciness throughout flanked by a drive by sourness. Decent enough carbonation. Finish is salty and limey without bridging any overbearing tequila thoughts. Linger does the job, dried out citrus inviting for the next sip.

Keg, Brewdog, Glasgow
