Boutip (4726) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 12, 2014
Bottle: Poured a clear pale copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of citrus and earthy hops with some caramel malt noticeable. Taste is dominated by citrus hops notes with some earthy hops and quite a bit of caramel malt with some residual sugars. Body is light with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not too bad but definitely too much caramel malt for my personal taste.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, pine resin, grapefruit zest and light dank bud. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, pine resin and grapefruit zest with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

5000 (6300) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Bottle:   Orange with a slight copper hue, thin to moderate frothy white head, nice lacing.   Citrus peel and tea leaves on the nose.   A bit sweet up front, citrusy, soft pith and peel, with the tea leaves making a strong appearance towards the back.   Smooth, but moderate body and mouthfeel.   Could be brighter.   Has a slight floral sweetness to it too.   Finish is a little muddled, slightly astringent.   Moderate example.   Good, but just needs a few tweaks.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14. Clear golden amber with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is caramel malt, pine, bitter grapefruit, orange pith. Taste comprises caramel malt, sweet licks, pine, bitter tropicana. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough DIPA.

DuffMan (6751) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 2, 2014
Bottle, shared with my father-in-law. Deep orange hue, thick off white head. Frsh sweet pine aroma, leading into mango and guava tropical fruits. Juicy hops here, very nice. Nicely balanced malts, not too sweet. So drinkable! An unexpectedly excellent DIPA. The ratings don’t give this one enough credit IMHO.

650ml brown bottle. Deep golden pour, slightly hazy, head is tan, creamy bead. Some nice lacing as well. Nose has orange peel, melon, some rich malt. Taste has zippy citrus, caramel malts and a bit of sweetness. Touch of sweet alc as well. Bitterness is in balance with the rest of the brew, but could be more bitter in my humble opinion. Still a good beer...
