strong citrus-pine aroma. Working together, with some caramel and black pepper. Gigantic’s the brewery closest to home but not on a normal route, plus their tasting room is tiny (great when it opens in the summer) and i rarely buy their bottles. This seemed a good price at trader joes and not disappointed. Clear yellow amber with modest off white head. I taste some orange before the resin shows up, great balance, alcohol tucking beneath the hops. Oily in the mouth but not heavy. Goes down too smoothly for 8.8%, active but not over-powering finish.

Pours a half finger of head on a clear darker straw body. The aroma is lots of citrus: lemon, grapefruit, orange; plus some pine. The taste is super drinkable. Moderate pine bitterness with some mango and pineapple to mellow it out. The texture is crisp. An outstanding IIPA and almost too easy to drink.

Countbeer (4749) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 19, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium sized creamy sticky head. Cloudy orange colored beer. Aroma is fruity, malty, hoppy, caramel, herbs, light creamy, light sweet, floral, some flowers and light hints of something like yeast and alcohol. Aftertaste is fruity, hoppy, bitter, light yeast and light malt, very nice! Low carbo, mouthfeel between watery and creamy, more than medium bodied and a light dry bitter and light creamy texture. Not my favorite style, but this is quite tasty!
