3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Bruce’s Birthday batch @Craft Islington. Cheers Kenny! It pours clear golden-amber with a small white head. The nose is grainy, dough, toast, must, earth, spice and cat litter. The taste is crisp, lightly tart, pine, orange peel, pear, apple, sherbet, earth, grain and dough with a dry finish. Mediumish body and fine carbonation. Smells a bit musty, but tastes alright. OK, but I wouldn’t rush back to it.

Draught at BrewDog Shepherd Bush on 1 February 2014. Poured a clear golden colour with a tight, white head. Aroma of citrus hop, spicy Belgian yeast and candied orange peal. Initial flavours of sweet, soft fruit, dry grassy hop and some beady malt. Finish is very dry; some resin and pine.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly murky golden. Slim ringed bubbly white head. Granite Belgian yeasty nose, cool and calculated but no real depth - estery and honied. Rich yet crisp yeastiness on the initial taste. Light white pepper and faintest Guava juiciness. Frisky lemon but very one dimensional middle. Cloying and cooling mouthfeel, faltering carbonation. Finish is UHT milk and lemon wedges left out too long linger.

Keg at Brewdog Shoreditch, Saturday 18th January 2014 (1st of 2 visits) Loz & Fin Pours pale gold with an initial sweetness. Yeasty giving a spiciness, very drinkable given the abv but doesn’t stand out from a crowded pack. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Colour... golden yellow with a thin off white head. Nose...yeasty, sweet spice and lemon zest with hops as well. Palate...quite bitter up front with loads of bubble gum, lemon rind, spice and hop resin. The mouthfeel is somewhat cloying but its the booze that stands out on my palate. The ABV isn’t esp high, but it seems quite evident, esp in my nasal cavity. The finish is lengthy and "Belgiany".
