Beautiful creamy head and lacing. Initial aroma was quite catty but evolved into a slightly honey/caramel/pine/grapefruit kind of affair. Taste is same with decent bitterness, a little spiciness, and a bit of alcohol burn. Personally, I think a firmer malt would lift this.

65cl Bottle at Drie Dorstige Herten. Hazy orange colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, some pine, citrusy hops, resin. Flavour is quite sweet, malty, caramel, fruity citrusy hoppy bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very mediocre IMHO, or perhaps past its prime.

Sampled at Hawthorne Hophouse - Pours light copper with an off-white head. The taste is more on the malty side and has light fruity hops. The finish has a bit more hop presence and dry caramel. Decent IPA.

Swaroga (1616) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 4, 2015
Another great IPA from US. Creamy and well carbonated. Tart and lots of candied fruits. Tastes like a sugar candy which goes really well with this brew. The bitterness is quite strong but not overwhelming. Hop flavor is mildly resinous, strong asian honey pomelo, candied ananas and mango.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2015 Draft at BXL East. Not your average IPA. Caramel notes followed by an almost lemon cookie finish. did you ever think an IPA could be sweet? Well this is a sweet mellow boozy delight that's not harsh but entices you to drink more with every sip. Not your average IPA.
