Saeglopur (394) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - AUG 6, 2014
65 cl bottle from Mikkeller Webshop. Dark amber, hazy body, with a quite small, creamy, white head. Nice fruity, floral aroma of peach, citrus, red berries, apricot, pine, some grassy, black tea like notes, caramel. Taste is smooth, rather light bodied, with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes smooth, bitter, with lemon, pine and some fruity notes. Very good! A light, easy to drink IPA with really nice, smooth fruit notes. The flavour could be a bit more complex maybe, but overall a great example of a lighter bodied IPA.

UXO (337) - CANADA - JUN 29, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a foamy white head, good retention, and moderate lacing. Nose is light pine and citrus hints balanced with light cereal malt. Taste leads out with sweet caramel and biscuit, becoming moderately bitter with pine and citrus notes. Medium body, slightly sticky and astringent, with a slightly tart, mildly warming finish. A little maltier than I prefer my IPAs, but still nicely balanced and quite drinkable. Relatively light in both aroma and flavour, with no west coast funk.
