3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 presario (4406) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 1, 2012
Bottle Hazy orange-amber with big lasting head and sticky lace. Moderate nose friendly hop nose. Flavour has a solid malt base which gives it a bit of a syrupy note to the body. Flavour starts out fairly woody but citrus notes emerge and grow to hang from the trees. Pretty decent if a little heavy.

Bottle: Cloudy gold with not much head. Aroma of wet hay, floral notes, lemon grass and something musty. The taste is grassy, musty with a funky bitter aftertaste. Ok, not my favorite.

Bomber. Pours a light gold and orange color with substantial foamy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus rind and floral hops with a bit of pine resin. The flavor begins with a strong resiny hops and grapefruit citrus presence with notes of lemon, orange and pine. Also a subtle toasted caramel and malt character but for the most part the hops rule. The body is slightly creamy with moderate carbonation and a final dose of citrusy hops bitterness in the finish. Another quality addition to the PDX IPA scene.

Pint on tap at the Portland Craft on Main Street in Vancouver during VCBW 2012. Pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head with some decent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and pale malts. Taste is dominated by grapefruit bitterness with enough of a malty sweet backbone to carry this one off nicely.Generously carbonated with a medium body. A really nicely done brew for the style and very bold.
