Pouring hazy with a rocky head, the aroma is light floral & citrus, not as intense as expected however. The initial taste has a medium body with a light sweetness, kiwi and pineapple fruits dominate, but the malt backbone shows well enough. The taste then draws down into a pleasant, deeper, danker, catty aftertaste. Not quite as bitter as I may expected given the the branding, but this is a fine beer, and coming in a 660ml bottle is always a plus! There is no born on or expiration date on this bottle, so it may be tasting better in Portland, but its drinking just fine here in Leeds.

Tap at the brewery. A: Semi-clear copper with a firm white head. N: Pineapple, mango, orange syrup, light pine, and earth. Quite fruity. Biscuit and crackers. Brown sugar, as well. T: Pretty sweet, actually. Not in the East coast way, but closer to a DIPA level maltiness. Bitter is crystallized, if you will. Sharp pinches. M: Resinous, medium body. Medium carbonation. O: If you’re only going to do one year round beer, this is a pretty good one to do. It reminds quite a bit of a lesser Boneyard Hop Venom.

65 cl bottle from Mikkeller Webshop. Dark amber, hazy body, with a quite small, creamy, white head. Nice fruity, floral aroma of peach, citrus, red berries, apricot, pine, some grassy, black tea like notes, caramel. Taste is smooth, rather light bodied, with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes smooth, bitter, with lemon, pine and some fruity notes. Very good! A light, easy to drink IPA with really nice, smooth fruit notes. The flavour could be a bit more complex maybe, but overall a great example of a lighter bodied IPA.
