Remember the stuff we were promised as kids? The flying cars, manned space stations and jet packs? The malty and caramelly flavors of an amber ale melded with the hoppy punch of an ipa? The future is not far off – and may be in your own hands.

Poured from bomber, enjoyed with Bryan. Initially bitter. Average flavor of mild malts, slight hops but incr points for appearance (nice sticky tan head with cloudy sierra brown color). Good mouthfeel. 8.2 Bryan, 8.1 bd

Bottle from Brewdog. Pours clear dark amber with a big creamy off-white head. Nice hoppy resiny aroma, super inviting with dusty and cellary malts. Taste is light sweet clean & dusty malts, resiny bitterness towards the long finish. Good.

My Bottom Line:
Caramel/butterscotch notes pierce citrusy hops and doughy yeast, while mild acidity morphs into a peanut-like aftertaste.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A stable cloud of foam tops the murky dark amber.
-The acidic touch in the finish clashes with the resinous bitterness.
-Can’t tell if this is fresh or really tired (there is no date on the bottle...).
-Effervescence is rather expansive which, with the acidity, points towards an infection.
-Hops are also grassy throughout.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy and piney hops is well balanced against a huge caramel malt backbone. Taste is also a well balanced mix between a huge caramel malt backbone and some citrusy hops with some piney notes also noticeable with a bitter aftertaste. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Solid hops forward amber ale.

Cloudy dark amber color, with creamy head. The aroma is very hop resiny, but the malt is very dusty; some hop sweat, also some old malt. Smooth mouthfeel; some malt and caramel flavor but with a sharp dusty feeling; strong bitterness, resiny, some bitter oranges too. Long final.
Good but dirty.

Bottled. Pours clear amber with small, lacing and off-white head. Aroma is lemon zest, grapefruit, caramel and piney notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry an with bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A very nice and Ale indeed.
