Draught at the brewery during Zwickelmania 2013. Estery, sweetish, honey, some cat pee. Hazy dark straw color. Very mild fruity initial / goes tangy with light fruit (pears, peaches) in mid palate / finish is not quite cloying, but almost. Medium body, with a very smooth mouthfeel. As close to Duvel as Iíve had from a US brewer, but without that beerís bright flavors. A very good Belgian-style blonde ale.

Bomber brought back for me from Portland by my fiancťe. Quintessential saison aroma. Murky orange body with a thin white head. Just about a perfect saison, with a little higher hop profile than most. Could use a touch more sweetness and body, but still excellent.

Bottle:   Towards the end of the bottle we get a very dark straw color, dirty, thick and hazy, moderate to large frothy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft sweet floral and ctirusy hop aroma.   Subtle spices.   Smells quite vibrant, and inviting.   A bit more muted on the tongue, dank, basement, musty.   Smells like a fresh Blonde Ale, tastes like an aged Blonde Ale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes with a bit more spices than it started with, clean, musty, with some citrus peel and soft floral notes.   Better than I expected, and not really mealy at all.   Enjoyable!

22 oz bomber courtesy of bvc. The pour is a hazy golden yellow with a 1/2 inch white head that falls quickly. The aroma is sweet fruit, Belgian yeast, and some lingering straw and hay. The taste is the sweet fruit of the nose along with a lemon peel lightly bitter character, and the Belgian yeast in the finish. The finish also features a dry mineral hay. The palate is medium bodied, a lower carbonation level, and yeast and straw and fruit in long finish. Thanks Brandon.

Tap @ 15th Ave Hophouse... Poured cloudy, golden orange with thin white head. This was nice tasting BPA. Some esters an fruity notes along with yeast spices that were supported by some green hops, earthy spices, and bready malts. Clean, not in your face. Super drinkable.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2013 On tap at Darbyís. Cloudy orange with nice white froth. Great crisp fruit taste with yummy yeast. A good barnyard bitterness to it but just so well balanced. This goes down the gullet super nice. Aroma is citrus and yeast. Just had this again and such a great beer.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours orange gold with a foamy/creamy off-white head. Aroma has NW hop and a hint of sweatsox. This is a very nice aroma. Med body or better. The best thing - thereís a lot of earth/sweatsox at the start. Then it gets fruity and bitter. With some NW hop. This is amazing stuff. My tongue is feeling barnyard while thereís fresh fruit still. Frickin brilliant ale. If I had the skill, itís the beer Iíd make. Now I just had a mint choc stout, but that was good, so I donít think this is a relief rate. The aroma and flavor are to die for. Individual parts of the numbers donít qualify for high, but the overall does. Itís greater than the sum of its rating parts. :)

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color, with creamy head. The aroma is very mild, at least itís a bit spicy. Good flavor, malt, with a quite strong spicy character and delicate fruitiness; the mouthfeel is very smooth; strong bitterness too.
Quite close to a real Belgian, a bit more fruity and bitter than the average.
