On tap at Gigantic - foamy head, sweet aroma. Mild sour taste, easy on palate. Hints of plum and cherry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. murky dirty peach beer, little head. Aroma fruit, sour malt and hint of funk. Taste is plum, malt, lemon. This is not dry as advertised, tends towards sweet, but no where close to cloying, well balanced actually. This drinks like a fruit beer, but it’s not a soda. Nice.

A real disappointment. Thin bodied, mild fruity character is unsettled by the earthy, grainy backbone of the beer. Tried at the Omaha Extreme Beerfest in 2016 with Jess and the parents.

Bomber. Clouded dirty peach coloured, vanishing off-white foam. Aroma of stone fruit, plums. Fruity juicy sweet taste of plums, lean pils malt, bland earthy graininess. Soft carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Paired well with sushi. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

I’ve really enjoyed my time getting to know the Gigantic brews. Ume Umai wasn’t an exception, but it’s far from my favorite. Fruit notes seem appropriately succulent and sticky. The black rice brings a graininess that’s neither offensive nor enjoyable; it’s just strange. This is definitely odd.

Bottle/Fest. A- Peach, citrus, plum. A- Gold color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, rice, bland. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- Tried it more for the novelty than anything. Tasted like a pale lager with a bit of stone fruit thrown in. Could’ve been worse, but also could’ve been a lot better.

Bomber poured a hazy gold with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of straw, plum, yeast and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, plum, yeast and light pepper with a smooth lingering peppery plum finish.

651 ml. bottle. 7.5% ABV per the label. Pours a medium, well retained, off white head, with continued tiny bubble formation, over a cloudy, particle laden, light amber, (SRM 9) effervescent body......nose is light plum, mild malts, minimal herbal hops.......taste is mild plum, light base malts, very mild sweet, with a sense of dry throughout, mild herbal hop notes with mild bitterness......mouth feel, light of medium body, light alcohol warmth, high carbonation with moderate acid. The recipe is obviously different from the original with the 50% increase in the ABV. This is a light refreshing beer. The malts and hops were gently used, with the plum and clean rice notes slightly dominating. Overall it is not particularly interesting with its clean simplicity. BJCP 7/2/12/4/6

Pine Box Rock Shop, Brooklyn tap: pours cloudy orange with a small head. Aroma is a bit of plum and some strange malts, which I suppose is due to the rice. Taste is sweet and not as plummy or plummiah as one would imagine. Easy drinking.
