This beer tastes simple and refreshing. It would be good choice on a summer day.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter. Pour was deeper amber with a half inch of wet, foamy head on top. Nose is malt, apricot, and apples. Taste is malt and apples. Another mediocre brew, though I would rather drink this then what my local bar serves ... nothing special.

(12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Pours a brown colored beer that has little head. Has a fruity nose. Tastes of a caramel malt with a small hop characteristic. Watery texture and soft carbonation.

(Sample Date: 11/14/2009 Source:Other) 12 oz bottle. Nutty and toasty malt aroma. Clear dark golden with a small white head. Caramel maltiness with light spicy hop notes in flavor. Medium body and mouthfeel. Medium finish with a light residual bitterness.

Bottle on 11/14/2009 from Trader Joes - Short Pump. Very clear copper amber body with a large foamy off-white head. Sweet toasty and slightly nutty aroma. Sweet toasty flavor, some dry graininess. Medium light body with moderately low carbonation.

Filtered red-amber color. Fluffy off-white head. Mild non-aroma, light toasty malt I guess. Straightforward light to medium body maltwise, very easy and drinkable. Displays a decent bitter hop balance, nothing spectacular certainly. Preferable to a lot of macro swill, but still mediocre at best.

Butters (3763) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - NOV 14, 2009
Sampled at maniac’s. Poursa clear pale amber with wispy thin tan head. Not bad on the aroma, kinda sweet malty caramel with a hint of corn in the background. Flavor is caramel malt, but light and grainy. Not all that great. Name is the best thing about this beer.

mike67 (788) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 12, 2009
12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours a copper color with a small short lived head. Not much lacing. Aroma is very light, some hops and toffee. Taste is some pine hops with citrus notes and caramel malts. Finish is long and pleasantly dry. On the whole, there is not much to write about but dissent brew nevertheless.

Bottle. Aroma is faint, a bit mettalic. Dark amber with a wispy thin off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Flavor is toasty malt, nice roast character with little to no hops flavor. Active carbonation, light body.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Short Pump, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is grainy toffee with a bit of nuttiness. Taste is caramel, toffee, bread and a nutty finish. No real hop notes to speak of. Medium bodied. Decent beer.
