"The combination of barley and caramel malts and choice hops results in a clean, malty beer."

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours a copper color with a small short lived head. Not much lacing. Aroma is very light, some hops and toffee. Taste is some pine hops with citrus notes and caramel malts. Finish is long and pleasantly dry. On the whole, there is not much to write about but dissent brew nevertheless.

Bottled. Better than most lagers. Nice hoppy nose, very thin head, lightly hoppy in the taste, aftertaste of soap, yet smooth. Drier than an amber ale.

okay, this beer didn’t suck as much as i expected it to. smells malty and sour (which i take to be hops), and looks like an amber. taste is largely malt but finishes with some bitterness and leaves a sweet aftertaste. too thin...still drinkable.

A bit thin, but respectable amber. Sweet caramel and toffee notes, and some tea leaf bitterness as well. I wish the hopping had been more robust.

Pours a hazed, amber/copper with a fast head that leaves a wisp of film. Aroma is fruit and floral in the guise of a heady man’s cologne with some chewy caramel malt. Nutty bitters with astringence makes for a boring flavor after such an interesting nose. (Additionally, I agree with Cornfield on the style discrepancy... this is darker than a simple Pale Lager and has some caramel to back it up.)

Bottled. Clear lighter amber pour with a tall cap of rather creamy off-white head. Soft caramel and faint tart lemony-wheat notes on the aroma giving an easy and inviting aura. Flavor was of lemon-accented sweet caramel and pale malts... mild floral and wheaty bitterness. A tad rough around the palate and grainy, but maintained its composure respectably.. lighter-bodied. Decent drink.. the "Pale Lager" category doesn’t appear accurate.

Bottle. Definitely got the amber going with the color. Tall offwhite head and good lacing. Mostly hops and some pine in the weak aroma. Creamy mouthfeel with the taste being caramel malt and some spice hanging around. Has more to it than those average lagers. Aroma is the weakest thing

No amber color here, mine poured a coppery red with a small off-white head. Sweet malt aroma with a hint of bread dough. Tastes of nutty malt with a toasty, slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied with a slightly watery feel at times. It’s not bad and it’s also definitely not a pale lager.

Bottle. Pours a light copper with a substantial foamy white head that quickly fades. Mostly caramel malts with trace amounts of bitter hops on the finish. Ends slightly sweet. Alright.

Clear pale copper. Caramel and yest in the nose and on the tongue. Very light hops at the finish. Just OK.
