2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Glouglouburp (5568) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 29, 2012
In short: A typical spicy wit that is unfortunately a bit thin-watery. Boring
How: Tap at Tap-NY 2012
The look: Cloudy yellow body topped by a very small white head
In long: Nose has some bananas, wheat and some coriander. Body is a bit on the thin side, almost watery. Wheat and its friendly refreshing acidity companion, some orange peels, some coriander, some bananas (but less than in the aroma). Rather tasty despite the thin body. The flavor elements are there and well balanced, this good be a pretty decent wit if it had more body. But as it is, it is quite boring. One of the less good beer I had at the festival but it didn’t stop me from smiling and joking around, oh man how I’d really like to hang out with the person I’m pretending to be in public.

had with dinner tonight. pours a lovely hazy straw yellow, small white head with ok retention. Save the orange slice for later. Nose has good coriander and slight orange. This beer is perfectly enjoyable on the patio, as it warms the coriander develops more. Solid easy drinker.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerbill (3044) - Laurel, New York, USA - MAY 10, 2011
Growler filled at the brewpub and consumed several days later. Pours a cloudy straw gold with a thin-moderate white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. The aroma is a combination of wheat grain and coriander with a bit of orange and lemon in the nose as well. The flavor is similar to the aroma except that the coriander is a stronger component and is the dominant flavor contributor. Wheat grain and lemon are also present in the flavor. This was a tough beer for me to rate, as I still am not sure how I like the strong coriander flavor. An interesting beer for sure and definitely worth trying.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 j12601 (5652) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 3, 2010
On tap at the Gilded Otter. Pours a somewhat milky and hazy gold with a small white head. Wheat and a little bit of musk, subtle coriander. Medium bodied, nice fine carbonation. Nice wheat and a bit of musk and hints of banana. Surprisingly crisp. Finishes up with some nice musk and wheat, touches of banana. Pretty good.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hophead75 (2008) - Largo, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2008
TAP NY 08. Hazy blonde in color with a medium long lasting head. Aroma: very nice- coriander and orange peel, musty belgian yeast, and a touch of wheat and honey. Taste is is also very good- coriander, orange peel, with a light honey sweetness and a touch of tangy wheat in the finish. The yeast character is very bright. A light dextrinous sweetness rounds it out, giving it a really nice round mouthfeel. Flawless wit beer, IMHO.
