   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 15/20

My Bottom Line:
An enticing wooden, spicy hop character evolves into an assertive earthy, herbal finish. This drinkable Double IPA is a hop feast, no doubt about that, and should satisfy those looking for a high-alpha fix.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam seeps into the hazy peach blond.
-The aroma isn’t overblown, and that soaring bitterness could not have been predicted.
-Sandy dryness and tame biscuity maltiness work well together.
-As you can imagine, maltiness is only here to support the hop flurry.
-After their lackluster Barley Wine, I admit I was surprised by the high flavor content and complex hoppiness in this one.

On tap at Tap NY.

This Imperial Pale ale has a huge amount of hops. The beer pours deep brown and the nose offers a deep hops aroma. The mouthfeel and palate is dense with a carmel like hops flavor. The beer finishes long and with a balanced bitter.
