Commercial Description:
The first known recorded beer was brewed roughly three thousand years before the founding of New Paltz. The town may have changed, but this fine lager never will. This beer is brewed for those ready to plunge into a fuller flavor style of craft beer. The crimson color is from caramel malt, which imparts a sweet malt flavor that balances the domestic and imported hops.

This Vienna beer red lager seemed gorgeous out of the tap and actually had excellent malt like aromas. The palate and mouthfeel seemed to lack the full blown classic style but it was quite tasty!

The pour reveals a clear pale amber color. Aroma of mild hops and caramel. Decent flavor of mild hops and burnt caramel with a bitter finish. The body is light to medium with a chewy texture and moderate carbonation. A very decent vienna.

Copper-amber color, low frothy head. Light caramelly nose and taste with a light toasted, woody end. Good starter upper for someone trying to get into micro-brews, but this is rather superficial overall. Not much going on there...

Tap at the brewpub. Orange, clear, small off-white head. Slightly sulfured nose, with hints of hops and malt. Flavor is malty with a refreshing dose of hops following. Light on the palate. Drinkable.

Amber orange color, small layer of a head leaving nice laces on the glass. Sweet nose. Light almond taste with a light roasted finish.
