Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 9/29/12
Aroma: This one has a citrus/orange nose with some floral notes as well
Appearance: Pours a clear copper color, with a white head and heavy white lace
Flavor: The taste is somewhat sweet with citrus and caramel, and a light-medium hop bitter finish
Palate: This beer has a fairly clean, and pretty smooth feel, a soft carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression:
This one is a solid, but unremarkable example of the style. There isn’t a ton more to say here. I didn’t love it, but it is plenty drinkable.

This beer came at you with a strong hoppy aroma. Smelled of citris and pine hops very strong. Body is light but flat, decently bitter but one dimentional.

Dark gold color, hoppy scent and taste with that typical Otter beer aftertaste with some hoppy bitterness at the end...one of the better Otter beers
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sammy (7035) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2010
Draft at the brewpub. Bit below average pale, as the hops were less than average. Looked OK, grapefruit cloudy body and a residue of head. Mild hop aroma. carbonation is right there, and some drinkability
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerbill (3044) - Laurel, New York, USA - JUL 24, 2010
On draught at the Gilded Otter. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a thin white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left spotty lace. Mild aroma of citrus along with a trace of malt. The flavor is somewhat biscuit malt with citrus emerging towards the finish. Moderate bitterness lingers briefly beyond the swallow. No problems.

tap: didn’t really put me in mind of the rail trails, but w/e. Piney earthy. lemony/ orange citrus. caramel malts with smash of bitter hops, grainy astringent. finishes dry. Nice for hop heads, but a bit overwhelming at first.
